Wedding number one...

We had an amazing ceremony at the courthouse in Texas. My aunt and cousin came up from Houston to be there...and Peter's grandparents came up from the same area to share the day with us. We got our marriage license during the week and set up an appointment for 3:15pm that Friday with the JP. I didn't anticipate the day being that big of a deal...I mean it's a courthouse wedding. How special can it be to walk in and watch the judge sign our marriage license?? I was wrong. Even though it wasn't what I had hoped it was a wonderful day. I got a new dress to wear (there wasn't time to make alterations to my original  wedding dress). We found out that the judge who was to marry us was a Christian and would only do a Christian ceremony. Even when people would ask, he would not take God out of his ceremony. It was an awesome little surprise. With our family surrounding us and a great adventure ahead of us we made our wedding vows before God and man.

We couldn't end the day without taking a self portrait...

Change of Plans...

After Peter graduated tech school the next big thing on our list was to plan our wedding. Our wedding date was set for August 28, 2011. He was going to head out to his first duty station and I would stay behind and do wedding plans. While putting stuff together we decided that it made more sense to get married before he left. That way I could go with him and we could begin the next phase of life together. We decided to go to the Justice of the Peace in Texas...and then on our way through Kansas have a small ceremony with my family. So unlike most we got 2 weddings :)
We decided to change the date on a Sunday. We spent the week packing out stuff. Got married on that Friday. Packed the uhaul on Saturday and left Texas on Sunday. We went from zero to sixty in a week.

Tech School Graduation...

At the beginning of June it was FINALLY time for him to graduation tech school. Now let me clarify that tech school was way better than bmt...but it still SUCKED. At the end he had morning PT...which meant that he had to be up at 3-something every morning...which mean that he had to be in bed at like 10 every night. At times before, if he had homework earlier than that. There were days where I would talk to him 10 minutes the whole day.
So when June rolled around it was time to celebrate the end of the tech school phase of life :)

Doesn't he look handsome??

All that pain and anguish for a piece of paper...a very pretty piece of paper :)

That's right...I can make him smile in uniform :D

None of them were my airman...but I like the way they walk :)

He's going for a new look...this one might just be a bit out of regs though...
